This varied position combines responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality meal service with the opportunity to lead practical cooking sessions, helping service users develop essential independent living skills, including meal preparation and budgeting for food. The role offers excellent job satisfaction through supporting individuals to build confidence, independence, and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the provision of nutritious, well-balanced meals for service users.
• Plan menus, order food supplies, and oversee meal preparation and service.
• Coordinate the delivery of meals three times per day.
• Deliver cooking classes that promote independent living skills and budget-friendly meal planning.
• Ensure kitchen facilities, food storage, and stock management comply with Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, and Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational efficiency.

Essential Requirements

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
• Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification.
• Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and service delivery.
