MENTORS TASK DESCRIPTION
TASK PURPOSE

TO OFFER GUIDANCE, HELP AND SUPPORT TO EX-OFFENDERS AND PEOPLE AT RISK IN THE COMMUNITY.

TO LIAISE WITH THE HUMBERCARE MENTORING CO-ORDINATOR IN ORDER TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE LINES OF COMMUNICATION.

MAIN TASKS

TO PROVIDE SUPPORT WHERE APPROPRIATE IN THE AREAS OF:

LIFE SKILLS, ONE TO ONE TUITION, SUPPORTED VISITS, LITERACY & NUMERACY AND EMPLOYMENT/COLLEGE COURSE OPPORTUNITIES.

TO OFFER ASSISTANCE TO THE CLIENT IN ORDER TO WORK TOWARDS ACHIEVING THEIR ACTION PLAN/CLIENT NEEDS/ANALYSIS.

TO MEET CLIENTS IN PRPBATION OFFICES/BAIL HOSTELS AND APPROPRIATE PUBLIC PLACES/AREAS.

MEETINGS TO TAKE PLACE AT VARIABLE TIMES/DAYS SUBJECT TO THE MENTOR'S AVAILABILITY AND TIME ALLOCATED AGREED.

MENTOR'S LINES OF COMMUNICATION ARE DIRECT TO THE MENTORING CO-ORDINATOR.

MENTORS' LINES OF COMMUNICATION ARE DIRECT TO THE MENTORING CO-ORDINATOR.

MENTORS TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ADMIN. REPORTING SHEETS/EXPENSES TO THE CO-ORDINATOR, AT THE END OF EACH MONTH.
