The Humbercare Volunteer Befriending Service will deliver ‘face to face’ short-term befriending support for people living in North Lincolnshire
The service is funded by the North Lincolnshire Supporting People Team, to provide a service to people with mental health problems, substance misuse problems, offenders and the homeless
Eligible individuals will be provided support in the following areas: assistance to reduce isolation, build self-confidence, and increase social skills to increase opportunity for future learning, training or employment
Volunteers will provide a person centred approach to working with clients in their own homes
The service will provide clients with befrienders
The befrienders are matched to clients dependent upon their needs, all clients will have the opportunity to meet their befriender before any support commences
